Prince George Cougars News Release
The Prince George Cougars have announced the acquisition of 20 year old blueliner Andre ("On-Drey") Blanchette from the Brandon Wheat Kings. In exchange, the Wheat Kings have received a 6th Round Bantam selection in 2005.
Blanchette, a 6'1" 190 lbs. product of Camrose, A.B., saw action in 55 games with Brandon during his 2003-04 campaign, collecting 13 points (0-13-13) and 93 penalty minutes. In his 8 games with the Wheat Kings in 2004-05, the right handed D-Man registered 2 assists and 12 PM's, along with a -4 rating.
