ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter the fifth week of the 2004-2005 regular season with an 8-5-2-0 record (5-2-2-0 at home, 3-3-0-0 on the road, 1-0-2-0 in overtime) and in first place in the BC DIVISION...The ICE, who are currently on a five-game road trip through the EAST DIVISION, will return home to host the BRANDON WHEAT KINGS at the CRANBROOK REC PLEX on November 3.

DID YOU KNOW: NIGEL DAWES needs to play in three more games to reach 200 in his WHL career...DAWES needs four goals to move into first place in all-time goals scored with the KOOTENAY franchise (JARRET STOLL leads with 124) and ten assists to move into fifth place in all-time assists (JASON JAFFRAY is fifth with 102 career assists)...CHAD GREENAN recorded his first career WHL point October 24 in BRANDON...TAYLOR DAKERS recorded his second shutout of the 2004-2005 season, and third of his WHL career, October 23 in REGINA (31 saves)...ANDY BOSSENCE recorded his first career WHL goal against the PATS...STEVEN DASILVA recorded his first career WHL point in REGINA...DALE MAHOVSKY needs six goals to reach 50 in his WHL career...JEFF GLASS tied DAN BLACKBURN for all-time games played by a goaltender with the ICE franchise (101) October 17 versus KELOWNA...GLASS needs to play 233 minutes to move into first for all-time minutes played (BLACKBURN leads with 5,927).

SCORING STREAKS: NIGEL DAWES (7-2-9 in span) has recorded at least one point in each of his last five games...DALE MAHOVSKY (0-6-6 in span) has recorded at least one point in each of his last four games.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 15 games of the 2003-2004 season the ICE were 7-5-1-2, after 16 games 7-6-1-2 and after 17 games 8-6-1-2.
