Everett Silvertips News Release
The Everett Silvertips are coming off a disappointing weekend in Prince George losing both games against the Cougars. The Silvertips are currently on a 2 game losing streak with a 5-4-2-1 (13 points) record and tied for 2nd place in the U.S. Division. Everett will play three games this week starting on Wednesday night against the Kamloops Blazers at the Everett Events Center. On Friday night, the Silvertips will travel on the road to face off against U.S. Division rival, Tri-City Americans. Everett will come back home on Saturday night against the Portland Winter Hawks at the Everett Events Center.
SILVERTIPS LEADING SCORERS
The Silvertips are led in scoring by Torrie Wheat (2 goals, 5 assists) with 7 points. Tyler Dietrich (5 goals, 1 assist), Karel Hromas (4 goals, 2 assists), Marc Desloges (2 goals, 4 assists), Zach Hamill (2 goals, 4 assists) and Shaun Heshka (6 assists) are tied for 2nd in scoring with 6 points.
Tyler Dietrich leads the hockey club with 5 goals scored and Shaun Heshka leads the hockey club with 6 assists. Defenseman Cody Thoring leads the Silvertips with a +5 rating.
Goaltender Michael Wall is currently ranked 10th in the WHL with a 2.34 Goals Against Average and 8th in the WHL with a .917 Save Percentage.
SILVERTIPS IN THE COMMUNITY
The Everett Silvertips will be visiting Kellog-Marsh Elementary School on Tuesday morning. Marc Desloges, Mitch Love, Curtis Billsten and Derek Lewis will visit the students and talk about reaching goals and teamwork. The four Silvertips will also take part in a exhibition floor hockey game against the school's faculty.
SPECIAL TEAMS
The Everett Silvertips are ranked 9th in the WHL on the power play (11 for 71, 15.5%) and 3rd on the penalty kill (49 of 54, 90.7%).
$10.00 TICKETS FOR WEDNESDAY NIGHT'S GAME
The Everett Silvertips are offering a mid week ticket special for the Wednesday, October 27th game against the Kamloops Blazers at the Everett Events Center at 7:05 p.m. All Green, Red and Orange level seating have been discounted to $10.00 per person for the October 27th game. The offer is not valid for the Lower Club, Upper Club and Silver Section seating. Wednesday night's game also features guarantee giveaway night. Every fan is guaranteed to receive a giveaway item as they leave the Everett Events Center. Tickets can be purchased at the Silvertips office for $10.00 Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
