Corrado and Jensen Returned to Utica

Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the Canucks have reassigned defenseman Frank Corrado and forward Nicklas Jensen to the AHL Utica Comets. The Canucks has also reassigned defenseman Jeremie Blain from Utica from the ECHL Kalamazoo Wings.

Jensen, 21, has appeared in 5 games with the Canucks this season. In 15 games with the Comets this season, the Herning, Denmark native has collected 11 points (6-5-11). He currently ranks sixth on Utica in scoring. The 6'3", 202 pound forward was originally drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the first round, 29th overall at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Corrado, 21, has appeared in 11 games with the Comets this season recording three points (2-1-3) and 13 penalty minutes. Last season he appeared in 15 games for the Canucks, collecting one goal (1-0-1) and 59 games with the Comets, tallying 17 points (6-11-17) and 46 penalty minutes. The 6'1", 195-pound defenceman was originally selected by Vancouver 150th overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Blain, 22, has appeared in seven games this season with the Comets and recorded two penalty minutes. In Kalamazoo this season, the Blain has collected a goal and an assist in six games. Blain spent the majority of last season with the Kalamazoo Wings and recorded 15 points (three goals, 12 assists) in 25 games. The 6'2", 192-pound defenseman was originally selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the fourth round (#91 overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
