NORMAL, Ill. - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, extended their win streak to a franchise record eight with a walk-off home run from Richard Lucas for a 6-3 triumph.

The ThunderBolts started the scoring in the opening frame with a two-out RBI from Marquis Riley followed by a two-run homer from Jacob Tanis. The Belters answered in their half of the inning with a two-out RBI from Aaron Dudley singling home Cameron Monger

In the second inning, Jason Merjano sliced a one-out triple to score Santiago Chirino, who reached base via walk, to cut the deficit to 3-2.

Neither team scored until Lucas led off the eighth inning for the Belters and blasted a homer over the left field fence to tie the game 3-3.

In the ninth, Mark Micowski roped a one-out single and Aaron Dudley was intentionally walked with two outs to set the stage for the heroics by Lucas, who smashed a walk-off two-out three-run homer onto the left field berm off of reliever Chris DeBoo (1-1).

Victor Beriguete (1-1) held the Bolts off the scoreboard in the ninth inning and received the win.
