NORMAL, Ill. - On Thursday, September 3rd the Normal CornBelters, presented by the Illinois Corn Farmers, will host its final Miller Thirst Quenching Thursday of the 2015 season. During the game, CornBelters players and coaches will be wearing a special Marcfirst jersey presented by Snyder Companies.

Throughout the game fans can bid for a chance to meet a CornBelters player or coach and win the jersey off his back. All proceeds from the silent Auction will benefit Marcfirst. The Auction will run from the time the gates open to after the completion of the 7th inning.

Marcfirst has been a leader in the field of the developmentally disabled for more than 50 years. Through many evolutions in its history, Marcfirst stands today as a not-for-profit agency dedicated to the personal dignity of people with developmental disabilities by helping them to achieve their dreams, desires, and abilities.

"Marcfirst is very thankful to both the Snyder Companies and the CornBelter's for their continued support of people with developmental disabilities," said Stephanie Adomaitis, Vice President of Development and Marketing for Marcfirst. "At Marcfirst we may provide a lifetime of services to hundreds of people with developmental disabilities in McLean County, but it is because of our community that they are empowered, active and successful."

The CornBelters, through the partnership with Snyder Companies, look to raise awareness and increase community support for Marcfirst and its local projects. Earlier this summer, Marcfirst broke ground on a new a duplex development that will include wheelchair-accessible restrooms and kitchens, ramps and equipment to make it easier for people to remain as independent as possible.

"We are extremely excited to be part of this great cause" said Director of Sales Michael Petrini. "Marcfirst is a wonderful organization and I know with the support of Snyder Companies we can pack the ballpark and raise a lot of awareness and money during the silent auction, not to mention it's the last Thirsty Quenching Thursday of the season and our boys are making a strong push for the playoffs. All in all, it's going to be a great night!"

Leading up to the night all Snyder Company employees and residents will have the opportunity to purchase tickets online for only $5 using a special promotional code. Those connected with Snyder can visit one of their many residential locations and partners or call their represented for more information on how to take advantage of this special discounted rate.
