CornBelters Set for Six Straight at Corn Crib

NORMAL, IL - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, will host the next homestand of their inaugural season at the Corn Crib from Saturday, July 31 through Thursday, August 5. They will play the River City Rascals on July 31, Sunday, August 1 and Monday, August 2. Following, they will play the Evansville Otters on Tuesday, August 3, Wednesday, August 4 and August 5. With the exception of August 1 (5 p.m.), all games begin at 7 p.m. Also, with the exception of August 1 (1:30 p.m.), all gates open one hour prior to game time. Tickets are still available for each of the six games!

The CornBelters welcome the Rascals to town for the last time on July 31, and fans will once again be entertained throughout the game by "Dave the Horn Guy." PAL Swing will be providing dance instruction to fans during the game, and area Cub/Boy Scouts will be camping out on the field following the game. August 1 is "Christian Family Night," featuring a post-game concert by Danny Oertli. Gates will open early (1:30 p.m.) for the first-ever "Battle of the Bravest" firefighters softball game at 2 p.m. Plus, there will be a family autograph session on the field immediately after the game. "Armed Forces Tribute Night" wraps up the series on August 2 with a DAV baseball card set giveaway to the first 1,000 fans entering the ballpark. It's also Baseball Bingo Night!

The CornBelters will host the Otters on August 3, and fans are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes for "Super Hero Night." It's also a Qik-N-EZ/E-85 Night and a Reading Program Night, so fans can redeem/upgrade their vouchers at the Corn Crib Box Office for a FREE ticket(s)! Last but not least, kids will run the bases following the game! August 4 is "Corny's Birthday" and those in attendance will be entertained throughout the game by several of Corny's friends (Mascot Mania). Plus, it's Dog Day, and fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to the ballpark! The homestand wraps up on August 5 with the Illinois Pork Producers "Salute to Pork," featuring a pig roast. It's also Thirsty Thursday, and select $1.00 draft beers will be available along with $1.00 ears of roasted corn!
