Bakersfield Condors News Release
Bakersfield, CA -- The Bakersfield Condors of the West Coast Hockey League held a press conference this afternoon to unveil several new jerseys the team will wear on various nights throughout their 5th Anniversary season. Three new sweaters have been added, each with different styles. The team will continue to wear their jerseys from past years as well.
The team will don new "white" jerseys, with black, green, burgundy and cool gray trim. They are predominantly white, with the standard Condors crest in the center, and black at the waist and across the shoulders, extending down the sleeves. Thin burgundy, gray and green stripes outline the black. The letters will be black, and the numbers will be black with gray and burgundy trim.
Another of the new style jerseys are solid Condors green, with tan and cool gray trim on the waist and the shoulders. They feature an alternate version of the Condors crest, and feature "BAKERSFIELD" in black lettering over a band of gray across the waist. These jerseys also have a unique mesh feature under the arms and lace up on the front of the collar.
The third added jersey is the most unique. The jersey imitates the Kern County landscape, by featuring a setting sun behind a mountain scene, a winding rendition of the Kern River, and an oil derrick and fields on the horizon. The color of the jersey is dark green, fading to tan. The Condor appears flying over the scenery. On the shoulders and sleeves are black Condors wings, outlined in gray with black numbers and lettering.
"Every hockey team is identified by their jerseys," said Condors President and GM Matthew Riley. "That being said, we wanted to have a unique look for Bakersfield as we begin our 5th Anniversary season. All three of these new jerseys are special, and we're looking forward to seeing them on the ice. I think we'll be one of the most stylish teams in all of professional hockey."
