Bakersfield Condors News Release
Bakersfield, CA - The Bakersfield Condors of the West Coast Hockey League continued to reshape their roster today by signing defenseman Quinn Fair and left winger Leon Delorme. They will both be in the lineup tonight as the Condors host the Fresno Falcons at 7:00pm.
Fair, 28, will see his first action since last season's playoffs tonight, as he will commence his third season in a Condors uniform. The native of Campbell River, British Columbia missed just one game last season, and recorded 7g-17a-24pts. He had shoulder surgery at the beginning of the off-season and has been on the shelf since.
Delorme, 25, has competed in parts of four seasons, mostly in the East Coast Hockey League. He spent last year with Indianapolis in the Central Hockey League, where he was a teammate of Condors defenseman Jon Sorg. In 26 games with the Ice last season, he recorded 169 penalty minutes. In four seasons, the Flying Dust, Saskatchewan native has played 101 games, notching 2g-2a-4pts and 624 PIM.
"We're glad to finally get Quinn back in the lineup," said Head Coach Paul Kelly. "He was probably our steadiest defenseman all last season, and we're fortunate to be able to add a player of his quality at this point of the season. Leon has a reputation already as a tough kid and he's going to provide a little more muscle to our lineup."
To make room on the roster, rookie winger Denis Ladouceur was placed on waivers. Ladouceur had 2g-0a in 14 games.
The Condors are in action against the Falcons tonight, on Notebook Giveaway Night. The first 2,000 fans 12 and under will receive a notebook, sponsored by Spanish Radio Group and American Business Machines. All Condors games can be heard live on KGEO AM 1230, with Kevin Bartl handling the play-by-play. "Condors Countdown" starts 15 minutes prior to game time.
