Condors Set Team Record With 10-Goal Barrage Saturday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Condors set a team record with 10 goals on Saturday night as they thumped Long Beach 10-2. They scored four times in the first period, and three times in both the second and third periods to hit double digits. The win completed a weekend sweep at The Nest as they dumped Fresno, 4-2 on Friday night, and was their third straight victory overall at home. The Condors have three road games this week, as they travel to the east coast. They'll play the Trenton Titans on Friday, Dec. 8 at 4:30 p.m. (PST) and Saturday, Dec. 9 at 4 p.m. (PST) and the Johnstown Chiefs on Sunday, Dec. 10 at Noon (PST).

CONDORS 3 at Fresno 4 (Attendance: 2,814)
The Condors tied the game with 41 seconds remaining when Kevin St. Jacques converted a rebound off of a Kevin Truelson blast, but ultimately lost in a nine-round shootout. Andrew Ianiero's first assist on the evening gave him 100 points as a Condor, Truelson's assist gave him 100 points as a professional and Shawn Thompson had his first professional goal in North America.

Friday, Dec. 1:
CONDORS 4 vs Fresno 2 (Attendance: 4,825)
Brett Lutes erupted for a hat trick in the second period, and the Condors scored three times with the man-advantage to beat the Falcons. Jamie Hodson stopped 38 of 40 Fresno shots to preserve the win.

Saturday, Dec. 2:
CONDORS 10 vs Long Beach 2 (Attendance: 6,242)
It was a party at The Nest as the Condors scored early and often en route to the record-setting victory. Sean Venedam and Kevin St. Jacques both had two goals and two assists, and Alexandre Bolduc added three helpers. Hodson was between the pipes again and improved to 4-0-1 in his last five outings.

The Condors are above .500 at The Nest for the first time this season at 7-5-0.
The Condors have scored 14 power-play goals in their last seven games.
The Condors have allowed just 18 power-play goals in 153 short-handed chances and are second in the league in penalty-killing at a rate of 88.2%.


PROMOTIONS RECEIVE NATIONAL EXPOSURE:
The Condors are receiving National buzz thanks to their "Wipe Out the Falcons" Toilet Paper and Nintendo Wii Giveaways this past weekend. MSNBC's "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" had the Condors and their Toilet Paper Giveaway as their number newsmaker of the evening on November 30th. Sports websites like deadspin.com featured articles on the event as well as gracing front page of the sports section of the Denver based newspaper, Rocky Mountain News, just to name a few.

The Condors December 2nd Nintendo Wii Giveaway also received plenty of attention as acclaimed video game websites such as IGN.com and Nintendo-wii.ws gave gaming fanatics the ability to come to the Condors game just to attempt to win one of the 20 gaming systems given away by the Condors.

PROMOTIONAL NOTES:
Bakersfield returns to The Nest Saturday, Dec. 16 when the Victoria Salmon Kings come to town for a special Noon start. Huge Condors fan Diego, Dora the Explorer's cousin from the Go Diego Go Show, is visiting Condorstown and will be available for pictures, courtesy of La Preciosa 105.3, Bright House Networks and Rio Bravo Country Club. All fans in attendance will receive a Condors holiday poster.

December 16 is also the R&D Leather Furniture/Stay Focused Ministries Toy Drive, where fans can receive $1 terrace admission by donating a new, unwrapped toy. In addition, it's another Condors Kids Club Day where all club members receive free admission, courtesy of Bright House Networks, the Bakersfield Californian and Wells Fargo Bank. Mercy and Memorial Hospitals and ARRC Technology are presenting T.H.I.N.K. Day (Turn Hockey Into Knowledge program), which allows students to earn terrace tickets through excellence in academics and behavior. As well, Bright House Networks is presenting another Family Day, where subscribers can receive $5 admission per person by presenting the coupon accompanied with their cable bill.
