Fresno Falcons News Release
Thanks to everyone for supporting the Fresno Falcons Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday night at the Save Mart Center. The Falcons' Thomas Fojtik scored just five minutes in to the game which set off the barrage of bears and stuffed animals to the ice. The unofficial tally was about 2100 animals collected. All of these bears and stuffed animals were donated to Toys for Tots. The biggest crowd of the season of 9,409 would go on to enjoy a 4-2 Fresno win over Phoenix which featured a John Morlang hat trick for the Falcons.
The Falcons hit the road for two weeks and return to the Save Mart Center on Friday, December 15th at 7:30pm to face off against their archival the Evil Bakersfield Condors. Fresno vs Bakersfield has turned in to one of the best rivalries in the ECHL. The season series is tied at 1-1. The Falcons will also be honoring the local American Red Cross Heroes with a Red Cross Heroes Parade on the ice during the first intermission.
All fans attending the December 15th game are also encouraged to bring three or four non perishable food items to the game. The Falcons are trying to collect 5000 pounds of food for the Community Food Bank. Food Barrels will be placed at all entrances at the Save Mart Center on December 15th.
