Cyclones Goaltender Dov Grumet-Morris Gets AHL Call

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL, announced Monday (Dec. 4) that goaltender Dov Grumet-Morris has agreed to an American Hockey League (AHL) contract with the Portland Pirates. Grumet-Morris will sign a professional tryout agreement.

Grumet-Morris, 24, has appeared in nine games for the Cyclones this season, posting a 4-4-1 record with a 2.32 goals against average and a .925 save percentage. His 2.32 goals against average is fourth best in the ECHL and the .925 save percentage is fourth-best also.

Last season, Grumet-Morris helped the Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League (CHL) win the league championship. He turned in an 18-5-2 record with a 2.03 goals against average, best in the CHL. He won eight of the twelve games the Bucks claimed in the post season to take their first-ever league championship. Grumet-Morris played his collegiate hockey at Harvard, setting 13 school records in the process.

The Cyclones are next in action on Wednesday (Dec. 6) at Reading, faceoff is at 6:35pm. That game kicks off a three-game road trip that sees the club return to U.S. Bank Arena on Tuesday, December 12 vs. Dayton at 7:30pm
