Condors Set Franchise Records During Unbeaten Road Trip

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors continued their winning ways last week, finishing their four-city, nine-game, 16-day road trip with a team record 7-0-2 mark. As well, Bakersfield set franchise records for longest unbeaten streak (12 games, 9-0-3) and longest road unbeaten streak (10 games, 7-0-3), while tying for longest road win streak with seven straight victories.

The Condors returned to The Nest Saturday night to host the Stockton Thunder, as 8,292 fans came out to support them, on the third largest crowd of the season and seventh largest in franchise history. During the first intermission, Andrew Oke's St. Patrick's Day Jersey was auctioned off for a record $5,200, surpassing the $5,100 bid on Kevin St. Jacques' Veterans Day Jersey earlier in the season.

The Condors are 39-14-10 on the season, including 20-8-2 at The Nest. The Condors match-up with the Fresno Falcons on Wednesday and the Las Vegas Wranglers on Friday in a battle for the top of the Pacific Division. Doors open at 6 p.m., puck drops at 7 p.m.

Tuesday, March 13:

CONDORS 6 @ Phoenix 0 (Attendance: 2,987)

The Condors were held scoreless in the first, but exploded in the second and third periods, scoring three goals in each. Andrew Ianiero and Alex Kim each netted two goals. Jamie Hodson recorded his second shutout in a row and third shutout of the season. He is the first Condors goaltender to ever record back-to-back shutouts, and it was the first consecutive whitewashes for Bakersfield since October of 1999 against Tacoma.

Thursday, March 15:

CONDORS 4 @ Phoenix 3 (Attendance: 3,244)

The Condors took a 4-1 lead early in the third thanks to two goals by Alexandre Bolduc and one each by Alex Rogosheske and Sean Venedam. Phoenix fought back, scoring two unanswered goals in the period, but the Condors were able to hold on for the win. Rejean Beauchemin earned his fourth win in five outings in goal for Bakersfield.

Friday, March 16:

CONDORS 4 @ Long Beach 2 (Attendance: 2,256)

Long Beach held an early after the first period, but the Condors bounced back scoring three goals in the second and never looked back. Long Beach's goal in the first broke Hodson's consecutive shutout streak for not allowing a goal in regulation play was broken at 184:11, a new Condors record.

Saturday, March 17

CONDORS 1 vs. Stockton 4 (Attendance: 8,292)

Three games in three nights proved to be too much as Bakersfield dropped the decision to Stockton. The Condors lone goal was scored by Tyler Liebel, his eighth of the season, with assists to Alex Rogosheske and recently signed Jack Baker.

Bakersfield's homestand continues Wednesday against Fresno, with game-time set for 7 p.m. It will be a CW Bakersfield and Big 96.5 Radio High School/College ID Night with all college and high school students receiving $1 admission by presenting their student ID. It's also Mercy & Memorial Hospitals and ARRC Technology THINK Night, which allows students to earn terrace tickets to the game through exceptional academic and behavioral performance. The Department of Human Services is also presenting a special shoe collection, where fans can receive $1 terrace admission by donating a pair of new or gently used shoes.

Friday will be a Pacific Division showdown against the Wranglers, with the game again beginning at 7 p.m. KUZZ 107.9 and Pulte Homes are presenting a Condors cap giveaway for the first 2,000 fans in attendance.
