This Week in Condorstown:
Come visit Condors mascot Colonel Clawd at Houchin Community Blood Bank, located at 5901 Truxtun Ave., on Monday, March 19th, from 7:30-8:30 a.m., and Tuesday, March 20th, from noon- 1:30 p.m. Colonel Claw'd will be present to promote the Condors Blood Drive Night on March 28th, sponsored by 107.9 KUZZ. All fans who donate blood in the month of March will receive $1 admission to the game against Phoenix on March 28
Tuesday, March 20th: Rise early and tune your TV dial to channel 17, at 6:40 a.m., to hear Condors player Steve Rodberg on KGET- TV 17 News at Sunrise speaking about the battle for first place in the Pacific Division.
Tuesday, March 20th: Condors players Alex Rogosheske and Tyler Liebel will visit students at Bessie Owens Primary School, at 1 p.m. The players will speak to students about their life on and off the ice and students will take the information to write autobiographical reports. All students will receive an autographed educational packet.
Tuesday, March 20th: The Condors will hold Ladies Night at the Holiday Inn Select, located at 801 Truxtun Ave., for all female fans in Condorstown. This evening will include a chance to learn more about the game in Hockey 101, dinner and a meet and greet with Condors players and coaches. All participants will receive tickets for the on-ice suite to the Condors game against Fresno on March 21st and a Ladies Night T-shirt. Admission is $40 for season ticket holders and $50 for non-season ticket holders. Only a few spots remain so call Justin Fahsbender in the Condors office at 324-PUCK (7825), to reserve your spot.
Wednesday, March 21st: The Condors will take on the Fresno Falcons and present the Department of Human Services Shoe Collection. All fans who donate a pair of new or gently used shoes will get into the game for $1. This night is also Mercy and Memorial Hospitals and ARRC Technology T.H.I.N.K. Night where all students from Sequoia, North Beardsley and Highland Elementary who excelled in either academics or behavior, will receive free admission to the game. If you are a high school or college student present your ID to the box office and get into the game for a buck, with High School/College ID Night, presented by CW Bakersfield and The Big 96.5 KBKO. Doors open at 6 p.m. Puck drops at 7 p.m.
Thursday, March 22nd: Don't miss another addition of "Ask a Condor," at 7:40 a.m., on The Big 96.5 KBKO with Kenn and Jenn in the Morning! This week's show will feature Condors player Mark Malone. Be sure and visit www.big965.com to send in your questions. One lucky fan who has their question answered by Malone will win tickets to an upcoming game.
Thursday, March 22nd: Turn you radio dial to 107.9 KUZZ to hear Community Relations Manager Jill Watts speaking live with The Gradowitz at 8 a.m. Watts will be updating Condorstown on this week's games.
Thursday, March 22nd: Condors players Sean Venedam and Todd Griffith will speak to students at Planz Elementary, at 1:15 p.m., to discuss the ties between hockey and education. All students at the assembly will receive an autographed educational booklet.
Thursday, March 22nd: Condors players Scott Balan and Scott Borders and Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd will visit Houchin Community Blood Bank, located at 5901 Truxtun Ave., from 5:30-7 p.m., to help encourage fans to donate blood. Thursday, March 22nd: Don't miss the Condors Coach's Show, Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Q Street Lounge located inside the Holiday Inn Select at 801 Truxtun Ave. Listen live and meet Condors players Kevin St. Jacques and Alexandre Bolduc as they'll join Head Coach Marty Raymond and Voice of the Condors Jake Stevens to discuss team's chances of winning 1st place in the Pacific Division and the strategy for going all the way in the Kelly Cup playoffs. The Condors Coach's Show can also be heard on KGEO Hot Talk AM 1230 at 6 p.m.
Friday, March 23rd: The Condors will battle the Las Vegas Wranglers. Doors open at 6 p.m. Puck drops at 7 p.m.
Week In Review:
Thursday, March 15th: Condors mascot Baby Cal walked with students at Independence Elementary for North of the River Parks and Recreation after school program, to encourage kids to live healthy.
Friday, March 16th: Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd attended San Lauren Elementary's Jog-A-Thon, to mingle with students walking in the event.
Saturday, March 17th: The Condors held the St. Patrick's Day Jersey Raffle and Auction, courtesy of Bright House Networks, 101.5 KGFM and American Business Machines. All game- worn jerseys were auctioned off after the game raising $28,800 for the Kern Adult Literacy Council. Andrew Oke's jersey went for $5,200, a team record, besting the $5,100 bid on Kevin St. Jacques Veteran's Day Jersey earlier in the season. The jersey auction raised thousands of dollars to support the Kern Adult Literacy Council's four literacy programs: Family Literacy, GED, English as a Second Language, and Adult Basic Education. The funds will benefit 1,400 students at over 51 sites in Kern County.

Sunday, April 1st: Don't miss the Condors Kids Club party at Rollerama West, located at 7850 Brimhall Rd., from 4:30-6:30 p.m. All Kids Club members will receive free entry, skates, dinner and one-on-one interaction with Condors players! Parents are invited to attend free of charge for entry, and kids who are non-members will have to pay $3 for entry and skates. Baby Cal and Colonel Claw'd are looking for kids to join the coolest club in Condorstown for only $20. Membership includes a Kid's Club T-shirt, free admission to the Condors game on Saturday, March 31, membership card, entry into the Kids Club party with Condors players, unlimited access to the Kids Zone and exclusive gifts provided by the Bakersfield Californian, Bright House Networks and Wells Fargo Bank.
