ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades finished off this past week by going 1-2-2. The Everblades head into this week's action with a record of 38-20-6 (82 pts, 2nd South Div.).
THIS WEEK (All Times Eastern)
Friday & Saturday, March 23 & 24 vs. Columbia Inferno 7:30 p.m. (Both Games)
GAME NOTES: The Everblades wrap up their season series with a pair of games vs. the Inferno this weekend at Germain Arena. The games are the eighth and ninth of the year and the fourth and fifth at Germain Arena between the South Division rivals. The Everblades are 5-1-1 vs. Columbia this season. The most recent meeting between the team resulted in a 2-1 overtime victory for the Inferno on Mar. 3 at Columbia. The Everblades are 3-0-0 at home vs. the Inferno this season. The Inferno enter this week's action with a record of 25-29-9 (59 pts., 7th South Div.) and have picked up points in seven of their last 10 games. The Everblades hold an all-time record of 23-12-7 vs. Columbia and are 13-3-4 all-time at home vs. the Inferno.

LAST WEEK'S RESULTS
Tuesday, March 13 vs. South Carolina Stingrays 7-6 SOL
The Everblades fell to South Carolina 7-6 in a shootout. Jarret Lukin and Vince Bellissimo helped give the Everblades a 2-1lead that lasted into the third period. A wild third period saw the teams combine for nine goals. The Everblades opened a 3-1 lead after an Adam Taylor goal, but the Stingrays tallied three straight goals in 1:04 to take a 4-3 lead. The Everblades answered with three goals of their own from Reggie Berg, Jon Lehun, and Bellissimo to retake a two goal lead at 6-4, but South Carolina responded with a pair of goals in the final five minutes to tie the game. After neither team scored in the overtime, South Carolina outscored the Everblades 2-0 in the shootout. In goal Justin Peters made his Everblades debut and picked up a tie after stopping 22 of 28 shots in regulation and overtime. Florida special teams: PP: 2-for-6, PK: 5-for-6.
Wednesday, March 14 vs. South Carolina Stingrays 5-2 L
The Everblades ended their four game home stand with a 5-2 loss to the Stingrays. South Carolina scored the game's first three goals before Jarret Lukin got the 'Blades on the board in the second period. The Stingrays added a short-handed goal early in the third period before Dustin Johner tallied for Florida, but that was as close as the Everblades would get at South Carolina tacked on a fifth goal late in the contest. In goal, Jamie Holden made his Everblade debut and suffered the loss allowing four of the goals on 19 shots. Florida special teams: PP: 0-for-7, PK: 4-for-6.
Friday, March 16 at South Carolina Stingrays 5-1 W
The Everblades began their three game road trip with a 5-1 win over the Stingrays. After South Carolina scored the first goal of the game, the Everblades tallied the next five. Ernie Hartlieb scored two first period goals and Adam Taylor added a third to give Florida a 3-1 lead after one period. Jon Lehun tacked on a second period goal and Jarret Lukin notched a third period tally to finish the scoring off. In goal, Jamie Holden earned his first win of the season by stopping 15 of 16 shots. Florida special teams: PP: 1-for-9, PK: 10-for-11.
Saturday, March 17 at Charlotte Checkers 6-1 L
The Everblades suffered their worst defeat of the season by falling 6-1 to the Checkers on Saturday night. Charlotte powered ahead with two first period power play goals to get the tone. The Everblades collected their lone goal early in the second period by Adam Taylor, but the Checkers added four more over the rest of the game, including another power play goal and two short-handed goals. In net for the Everblades Jamie Holden suffered the loss allowing the six goals on 37 shots. Florida special teams: PP: 0-for-10, PK: 5-for-8.
Saturday, March 18 at Gwinnett Gladiators 4-3 SOL
The Everblades finished off the week with a 4-3 shootout loss to Gwinnett on Sunday afternoon. The Everblades came out strong and scored the first two goals of the game to take a 2-0 lead into the third period on goals by Brad Zancanaro and Vince Bellissimo, but Gwinnett exploded for three goals in less than three minutes midway through the third period to take a 3-2 lead. The Everblades responded with a goal by Derek Damon to tie the contest, sending the game to overtime. After neither team scored in overtime, the game moved to a shootout during which in the seventh round, the Gladiators picked up the winning goal. Overall Gwinnett outscored the Everblades 4-3 in the shootout. In net for the Everblades Craig Kowalski picked up a tie after allowing the three goals on 42 shots. Florida special teams: PP: 1-for-4, PK: 6-for-6.

All-Time 'Blades Records: Midway through the season three Everblades all-time marks have been broken and several others are being approached. Brent McDonald became the all-time games played leader on Dec. 8 when he took the ice at Pensacola. His 289th game broke the previous all-time number of 288 held by Tom Buckley. In addition, Reggie Berg became the organization's all-time leader in shots on goal on December 23rd vs. South Carolina when he took his 998th shot on goal, surpassing Buckley. Berg also became the team's all-time leader in power play goals when he tallied his 31st all-time on the man advantage on Jan. 26 vs. Gwinnett, breaking Matt Demarski's previous high-water mark of 30. Berg is also only six points away from becoming the team's all-time leading point getter, as he chases Buckley's mark of 310.
