November 13, 2002 - ECHL (ECHL)
Bakersfield Condors News Release

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors of the West Coast Hockey League have announced the dates for 17 telecasts during the 2002-03 season. The games will be carried on Time Warner Cable Ch. 21(Digital Ch. 21 as well) on Friday nights starting in December.

Eight Friday night games, beginning with the December 13th contest against the Fresno Falcons, will be televised live on Time Warner Cable Ch. 21. The live broadcast schedule includes one December game, three games in January, one game in February, and the final three Friday games during the regular season on March 21st and 28th, and April 4th. Each Friday night live game will be re-broadcast the following Saturday morning at 10:00am.

In addition, on Friday nights when the Condors are on the road or not playing at all, Time Warner Cable will air "Condors Classics". These games have been selected from past telecasts, throughout the previous four seasons of Condors hockey, as being particularly memorable. The games include both playoff contests at home last season against San Diego and Ken Baker's dramatic victory in the regular season finale, as well as three games from 2000-01, and one game from each of the 1999-00 and 1998-99 seasons.

"We're proud to be the only pro sporting event televised live from Kern County," said Condors President & GM Matthew Riley. "We feel the telecasts have improved each year, and if you're not able to make it to a Friday night game in person, this is a great option." Riley continued, "In celebrating five years of Condors hockey, we also wanted to flashback to some of our most exciting moments, and that was the thought behind the ‘Condors Classics '.

The headlining sponsor of live Condors telecasts is Eagle Mountain Casino. Other television sponsorship opportunities are available by contacting the Condors at 324-PUCK (7825).
