November 13, 2002 - ECHL (ECHL)
Wheeling Nailers News Release
Wheeling, WV - The Wheeling Nailers announced today that they will honor the State Championship Golf Team from Wheeling Park High School on Sunday November 17, 2002. The Nailers host the Peoria Rivermen on Sunday at 6pm and the state champs will be honored during the first intermission on the ice.
"This is a great way to continue to be involved with the community," stated David Flatley, Director of Marketing for the Wheeling Nailers. "Honoring individual and team efforts, in the form of a state championship, closely matches what our own hockey team strives for every day," Flatley commented.
The Wheeling Park Golf Team captured the West Virginia state crown a few weeks ago with a two round total of 481. Second place Fairmont Senior came in with a two round total of 486.
Tickets for this weekend are on sale now at the Wheeling Civic Center Box Office. The Nailers host the Peoria Rivermen both Saturday and Sunday Nights. For group or birthday information call the Nailers office at 234-GOAL.
