
Condors Hold Job Fair and Anthem Tryouts

Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors have announced two key events to prepare for the drop of the puck just over a month away. The annual Job Fair will be held on Thursday, September 22nd and tryouts for national anthem singers are Monday, September 26th.
The Condors annual Job Fair gives individuals interested in sports an opportunity to get their foot in the door. The Condors will be looking for individuals to assist on game days in the following areas: Merchandise Sales, Program Sales, Giveaway Distribution, Press Box Assistant, Chuck-A-Puck, Slapshot, Mascots, and back-up P.A. Announcer. In addition, the Condors will be interviewing for Inside Sales positions.
"We are looking for friendly, motivated people to help us put forth a first class game night experience," said Condors President Matthew Riley. "For anyone interested in working with a professional sports organization, this is a great way to start."
The Job Fair will be held on Thursday, September 22nd at the Holiday Inn Select, 801 Truxtun Avenue, in the Sumner Room from 5:00 - 6:30 pm. It is open to the public and no appointment is necessary.
If you have ever considered auditioning for American Idol, this is your chance to shine - without the criticism of Simon Cowell. The Condors are hosting tryouts for anthem singers on Monday, September 26th, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Interested vocalists will perform "The Star Spangled Banner" a cappella for a panel of judges at the Rabobank Arena. The Condors are also looking for at least one talented individual who can perform the Canadian National Anthem, "O Canada", as well and is available to sing on the nights that the Victoria Salmon Kings come to town.

The Bakersfield Condors season opens in 33 days at home on October 22nd against the Victoria Salmon Kings. Season ticket, mini-plans and group outings can be reserved by contacting the Condors office at 324-PUCK (7825) for more information.
