Toledo Walleye News Release

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today that Barry Soskin has signed a four-year management agreement to run the team. As keeping with company policy, the terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"I am glad to be back with the Storm," said Soskin. "It feels like I am coming home, because Toledo has always been one of my favorite places. I want the great Storm fans to know that I am back for the long haul. Toledo is a terrific hockey city which I witnessed first hand during our run in the mid 1990's." As far as the deal is concerned Soskin said, "It is a fair and good deal for both sides."

Barry Soskin, a Chicago businessman, previously owned the Storm from its inception (1991) until 1998 when he sold the franchise to current owner Tim Gladieux. Soskin was primarily responsible for bringing hockey back to Toledo in 1991, when the Storm became just the eighth franchise at the double A level. The Toledo Storm won 2 Riley Cups and 4 division titles while Barry owned the team. Soskin has previously owned hockey teams in the Central Hockey League, United States Hockey League (Junior A), and the Continental Elite League. Barry and his wife Fran have three children, Heather, Brian, and Rachel.

"This deal allows me to refocus my time towards my family, which is very important to me." Tim Gladieux said. "Barry and I will work together on continuing to build attendance and hopefully it will culminate with a lease in a new arena in Toledo."

Season Tickets are on sale for the 2005-06 season. Contact the Storm office at 419-691-0200 or visit www.toledostorm.com for more information. Toledo Hockey...A History Of Champions!
