STOCKTON, Calif. The National Conference scored seven goals in the first two periods and cruised to a 10-7 victory over the American Conference in the Chase Chevrolet ECHL All-Star Game at the Stockton Arena Wednesday night.

The Condors were represented on the National Conference squad by two players: D Kevin Truelson, who was in the starting lineup, and F Todd Griffith. Neither got on the scoresheet, although Griffith compiled four shots on goal and Truelson was a +1 on the evening.

"It's always good to win," said Truelson after the game. The blueliner was playing in his second career All-Star Game. "We were competitive from the first shift, so we got the big lead. We just wanted to win; I didn't come here for three days to lose the game."

Griffith, who was playing in his second All-Star Game in as many seasons, enjoyed the experience. "I had a great time, unfortunately I just couldn't find the back o the net," said Griffith, who had a third period breakaway included in his efforts on the night. "It's all fun and games, but it's also competitive. All-in-all, a lot of fun."

Victoria's Ash Goldie was named the game's Most Valuable Player, and recorded three goals and three assists for an All-Star Game record six points on the night.
