
Condors Eliminated From Kelly Cup Playoffs

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors record-breaking season came to an end Saturday night at the hands of the defending Kelly Cup Champion Alaska Aces, as they completed a four-game sweep of the Condors.
The season concludes as one of the most successful in history. The Condors broke many team and franchise records, including:
Most overall points (94)
Most points on the road (49)
Most wins on road (20)
Highest overall winning pct (.653)
Most overall wins (41- tying the 2002-03 season)
Fewest losses in a season (19)
Longest unbeaten streak (12)
Longest powerplay goal streak (22 games)
Along with the many team achievements there were also plenty of individual marks set, including:
Marty Raymond became the winningest coach in team history with 127 wins
Brett Lutes is the 10th player in Bakersfield history to record 30+ goals in one season
Kevin St. Jacques is the seventh player in Bakersfield history to record 50+ assists in one season
Jamie Hodson is the fifth goaltender in Bakersfield History to record 20+ wins in one season
Brett Lutes is the 10th player in Bakersfield History to record multiple hat tricks in one season
Kevin Truelson is now second on the Bakersfield all-time list for points by a defenseman (98 points), along with being tied for second in goals by defenseman (28 goals).
Jamie Hodson is now fourth on the Bakersfield all-time list with 29 wins and tied for third-all time in shutouts with three wins.
While many records have been broken, none of this would have been possible without the loudest and greatest fans in the ECHL! You truly are the extra skater on the ice, but in the stands you have helped break a few records of your own.
Total cumulative attendance: 239,032 (2nd highest in Bakersfield history - last season was 239,386)
Regular season avg. attendance: 5,848 (2nd highest in Bakersfield history - 5,977 in 1999-00)
Attendance was 4.4% higher than 2005-06
The great fans in Condorstown also set four of the top- 10 attended games in Condors history this season!
Nov. 25: 8,743 (Teddy Bear Toss) - 4th largest crowd in franchise history
Feb. 24: 8,328 (Youth Jersey Giveaway) - 6th largest crowd in franchise history
Mar. 23: 8,325 (Cap Giveaway) - 7th largest crowd in franchise history
Mar. 17: 8,292 (Spongebob Squarepants/St. Patty's Day Jerseys) - 8th largest crowd in franchise history
None of this would have been accomplished without the support and strength of all the fans in Condorstown! It was an amazing season and we look forward to seeing everyone back in The Nest next season to watch the Condors to even greater heights.

Monday, April 23:
CONDORS 0 @ Alaska 6 (Attendance: 5,003)
Joe Talbot tallied two goals and Kevin Croxton notched two assists to lead the Aces in Game 1 of the National Conference Semifinals. Derek Gustafson stopped all 29 shots en route to the shutout.
Wednesday, April 25:
CONDORS 2 @ Alaska 3 (Attendance: 5,294)
The Condors jumped out to the early lead when Josh Liebenow beat Gustafson at 10:51 of the first. The Aces, however answered back with three consecutive goals, one in the second and two in the third. Reagan Leslie brought the Condors within one, scoring a breakaway goal at 17:47 of the third, but the Condors couldn't find the back of the net to tie it up in the final minutes of the game.
Friday, April 27:
CONDORS 0 vs. Alaska 1 OT (Attendance: 6,097)
The Condors and Aces held each other scoreless for three full periods in an amazing demonstration of defense and goaltending, but it was the Aces who were able to find the back of the net first, just 3:10 into the overtime on a power play, to take their third consecutive game of the series.
Saturday, April 28:
CONDORS 1 vs. Alaska 3 (Attendance: 4,596)
Julian Talbot put the Aces on the board early with a power-play goal at 6:02 in the first, but the Condors answered back when Andrew Ianiero scored at the 12:57 mark to even the score. Talbot once again put the Condors' backs against the ropes, scoring at the 4:33 mark of the second to give the Aces a one- goal lead. The Condors fought back and had great opportunities to tie the game, but time was not on the Condors' side and Olivier Fillion sealed it with an empty-netter.
PLAYER AND TEAM PLAYOFF NOTES:
Andrew Ianiero led the club with nine points in the postseason (6g, 3a).
Brett Lutes led the team with five assists
Jay Langager led the team in plus/minus at +6
