Condors Drop Wranglers 4-3 In Preseason Game

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the Bakersfield Condors 4-3 in front of 3,333 fans at the Orleans Arena on Thursday night. Condors forward Mike Hoffstrand scored a shorthanded goal at 15:37 of the third period to lift Bakersfield to a 4-3 win. Wranglers forward Peter Ferraro scored a goal and added an assist in the defeat. Forward Matt Beaudoin and defenseman Jason Dest also scored for Las Vegas. The same two teams will meet again on Saturday in Bakersfield at 7:00 pm.

Bakersfield jumped out to a 2-0 lead with first period goals by Spencer Carbery and Mark Derlago. Las Vegas tied the game before the end of the period as Peter Ferraro and Matt Beaudoin netted goals.

Las Vegas took the team's only lead of the game in the middle period as Jason Dest scored a power-play goal at 8:48, giving the Wranglers a 3-2 advantage. Bakersfield's Tyler Feakes tied the game at three with a tally at 17:41 of the second period.

The Condors sealed the victory with a shorthanded goal by Mike Hoffstrand at 15:37. Carbery assisted on the goal to cap off his three-point night (1G-2A).

Las Vegas will play in Bakersfield on Saturday, October 13th at 7:00 pm for its final preseason game. The Wranglers start their season in Fresno on Friday, October 19th, at 7:30 pm. Las Vegas will host Stockton for Opening Night on Sunday, October 21st.

The Wranglers play all 36 home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue. Las Vegas will host Opening Night on Sunday, October 21st at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena. The Wranglers will host the Bakersfield Condors at 7:05 pm on Thursday, October 11th in a preseason game.
