Sea Wolves Corral Brahmas 3-1

BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves on Friday evening defeated the Texas Brahmas by a score of 3-1 in preseason action at the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills, Texas.

The Sea Wolves drew first blood on the power play, when Travis Lisabeth scored on a one-time pass from Lance Monych that beat Texas goaltender David Cacciola through the legs at 13:49 of the first period.

Mississippi continued to control play through the second period, when Brett Pilkington beat Cacciola through the legs again at 10:48 of the second period. The Sea Wolves added a third marker at 17:35 of the second period when Ryan Menei took a pass from Jeremy Leroux and roofed it past Cacciola at 17:35.

Texas got their lone goal on the power play at 13:58 of the third period when Chris Mann blasted a shot past Sea Wolves goaltender Jonathan Boutin, who made 14-of-15 saves. Cacciola made 41-of-44 saves.

The Sea Wolves preseason is now underway!
