Bakersfield, Calif. - The Idaho Steelheads scored twice in a three-minute span late in the game to steal a 3-2 victory over the Bakersfield Condors in front of 6,801 fans at Centennial Garden on Saturday night. After the game, the team's jerseys were auctioned off, raising $13,850 for CASA of Kern County.

Idaho scored just 59 seconds into the contest, on an early power play. Jeremy Mylymok found the back of the net, firing a shot through a screen for his 13th goal of the season. Later in the period, Bakersfield tied the game and took the lead with a pair of goals from the line of Paul Rosebush - Jason Jackman - Jason Ralph. Jackman's goal was his 10th of the season, and Rosebush tallied for the third consecutive game. The Condors outshot the Steelheads 17-9 in the first period.

The second period saw no goals, while both teams managed 12 shots. They each had two power plays as well, but couldn't manage another goal. Bakersfield had put up 29 shots through two periods.

In the third, the Condors came out firing, pounding Idaho netminder Blair Allison with 19 shots. They came up empty on two more power plays to extend their power play goalless streak to five games (0-for-17). Meanwhile, two breakdowns with less than eight minutes to play cost Bakersfield the game. Dampy Brar found a redirection in the left circle, and buried for the equalizer at 12:46. Then at 15:42 of the third period, Scott Burt put the Steelheads back in front for good, with his 11th of the season. The Condors fired 48 shots on goal compared to 27 for the Steelheads.

After the game, the jerseys were auctioned for the local children's organization. The highest bid was Paul Willett's, which brought in $1,350. Willett's jerseys have pulled in nearly $11,000 in his term with the team.

Bakersfield travels to Long Beach on Sunday, for a 4:00pm start. They host a pair of games next weekend, including Friday night's contest against San Diego at 7:00pm. That game features the return of The Famous Chicken, sponsored by KGET-TV 17 and K-Lite 105.3.
