In the bottom of the eighth, Armani Smith hits a triple off of the right-field wall that scores Tyler Fitzgerald to make it 5-3 Eugene.
In the bottom of the ninth, Fitzgerald hits a double down the left field line that scores Kwan Adkins that trims the lead to 5-4.
The Volcanoes will play game 3 of the 4 game home series tomorrow against Eugene to continue Cancer Awareness Weekend, which will conclude on July 13th with a special appearance by Steve Garvey. The pitching matchup will be Luis Moreno vs. Ryan Jensen.
