
Columbus Crew SC Hosts 2016 MLS Cup Champions Seattle

COLUMBUS - Columbus Crew SC (6-7-1, 19 points ) hosts Seattle Sounders FC (4-5-4, 16 points) at MAPFRE Stadium tomorrow, Wednesday, May 31. The match kicks-off at 7:30 p.m. ET and is set to be televised regionally on The CW Columbus, Spectrum Sports and BCSN2, with Neil Sika, Dwight Burgess and Alex Stec on the call. Coverage on The CW Columbus begins at 7:30 p.m. ET. Exclusively on Spectrum Sports and BCSN2, "Crew SC Matchday," the pre-match show, begins at 7:00 p.m. ET, with "Crew SC Post-Match" immediately following the action. Wednesday's match also airs locally on the radio on CD102.5 FM in English, featuring simulcast audio from the television broadcast. La Mega 103.1 FM has the match airing in Spanish, with Juan Valladares behind the microphone. The Spanish radio calls are also set to be streamed in Spanish on the LaMega1 App and via Tunein Radio as WVKO-FM. The club's official website, ColumbusCrewSC.com, is set to stream the English-language radio broadcast online.
Wednesday's match is the lone regular-season meeting this season between Crew SC and 2016 MLS Cup Champions, Seattle Sounders FC. Tomorrow's contest also marks the 12th all-time regular-season meeting between the two clubs. Currently, the Black & Gold hold a 3-5-3 regular-season record against Seattle. Crew SC has a 2-1-0 record against the Sounders in its last three regular-season matches, scoring five goals against the Western Conference team over that same span.
Through the first 14 matches of the 2017 MLS season, the Black & Gold have scored a total of 20 goals, with 13 of those goals being scored at MAPFRE Stadium. Additionally, Crew SC has scored in each of its home matches this season. The Black & Gold's 13 goals are currently tied for fifth-most goals scored at home in MLS this season.
In addition to the match against the Sounders, Crew SC is also hosting its inaugural Pups at the Pitch event at MAPFRE Stadium tomorrow. For only $35, supporters and dogs can get a General Admission ticket in the lower sideline. Prior to kickoff, supporters and their dogs will have access to a designated dog park at MAPFRE Stadium. Prior to entrance, supporters are required to sign a waiver stating that their dogs' vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian are current. To expedite this process, supporters may print and sign the waiver at the link below to bring with them and have ready upon entering the venue. Supporters must be 18 years or older to bring their dog to Pups at the Pitch. Ticket packages include Human and Dog Package for $35 and a Dog add-on ticket (owner must already have a match ticket) for $10 and Human add-on ticket for $30.
