
MLS Disciplinary Committee Decisions: Week 13

NEW YORK - The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found Portland Timbers midfielder Sebastián Blanco in violation of League policy regarding hands to the face, head or neck of an opponent (VIDEO ). Blanco has been fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in the 47th minute of the Timbers match against Seattle Sounders FC on May 27.
Atlanta United defender Tyrone Mears has been found in violation of League policy regarding hands to the face, head or neck of an opponent (VIDEO). Mears has been fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in the 32nd minute of the Atlanta's match against New York City FC on May 28.
D.C. United forward José Ortiz was found guilty of simulation/embellishment during the 59th minute of D.C.'s match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on May 27 (VIDEO). The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended Ortiz for one game and issued an undisclosed fine. Ortiz will serve the suspension during D.C.'s match on Wednesday, May 31 against Orlando City SC.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended Minnesota United FC midfielder Sam Cronin for one game and issued an undisclosed fine for serious foul play that endangered the safety of an opponent in the 66th minute of Minnesota's match against Orlando City SC on May 27 (VIDEO). Cronin will serve the suspension during Minnesota's match on Saturday, June 3 against Sporting Kansas City.
New England Revolution forward Teal Bunbury has been suspended for two games and issued an undisclosed fine for violent conduct in the 90+ minute of the Revolution's match against the New York Red Bulls on May 27 (VIDEO). Bunbury will serve the suspensions during New England's match on Wednesday, May 31 against New York City FC and on Saturday, June 3 against Toronto FC.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended Colorado Rapids defender Bobby Burling for one game and issued an undisclosed fine for violent conduct in the 18th minute of Colorado's match against Sporting Kansas City on May 27 (VIDEO). Burling will serve the suspension during the Rapids' match on Saturday, June 3 against Columbus Crew SC.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended New York City FC defender RJ Allen for one game and issued an undisclosed fine for violent conduct in the 64th minute of NYCFC's match against Atlanta United on May 28 (VIDEO). Allen will serve the suspension during the NYCFC's match on Wednesday, May 31 against the New England Revolution.
In addition, both Vancouver Whitecaps FC and D.C. United have been found in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy in the 90+ minute of the teams' match on May 27 (VIDEO). Both Vancouver Whitecaps FC and D.C. United have been issued warnings for each club's first violation of the league's policy this season.
