San Angelo Colts News Release
San Angelo, Texas --- The Colts announced Saturday they have traded infielder Ryan Hutson to the Amarillo Sox of the independent American Association in exchange for future considerations.
Hutson signed with the Colts on July 1. He hit .276 with 11 RBIs in 26 games for San Angelo. Hutson played all four infield positions, but spent the most time at second base and shortstop (11 games each).
He joins the Sox in the midst of their three-game, home series against the El Paso Diablos.
Hutson, 23, was drafted by the New York Mets in 2011 and spent one year in their farm system. Now in his second pro season, Hutson has a .231 career average with two home runs and 29 RBIs in 72 games.
