
Former AL MVP to Visit Edinburg

Edinburg, Texas - Former American League Most Valuable Player Jose Canseco will visit Edinburg Baseball Stadium on Monday night as the McAllen Thunder will host the Rio Grande Valley White Wings.
Canseco, 48, is no stranger to Edinburg Baseball Stadium where he made three appearances for the defunct Laredo Broncos. Canseco batted .538 with two home runs and eight RBIs in his three games at Edinburg Baseball Stadium as a member of the Broncos in 2010.
Last season, Canseco hit .256 with eight home runs with 46 RBIs as a player-manager for the North American Baseball League's Yuma Scorpions.
Canseco is expected to be in uniform for the White Wings on Monday night, where it will be Margarita Monday sponsored by Black Iguana. Margaritas will three dollars all game long. First pitch is scheduled at 7:05 pm with tickets available at the box office and through www.etix.com
The Thunder and White Wings will continue their eight game series on Saturday night at Harlingen with the first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
