Colorado Rapids News Release
The Colorado Rapids have loaned midfielder Will Vint to USL Championship side Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC for the 2020 season pending league and federation approval, the club announced today. Under the terms of the loan agreement, the Rapids retain the right to recall Vint at any point during the remainder of the MLS regular season, subject to MLS roster compliance guidelines.
"We're pleased to continue our partnership with Switchbacks FC to provide a promising, young player like Will with an opportunity to get more playing time and continue his development," said Pádraig Smith, Colorado Rapids EVP & General Manager.
Vint, a former Manchers United academy player, recently signed as the Rapids' newest Homegrown Player after the club acquired his Homegrown rights from Atlanta United. The 18-year-old midfielder, who grew up in Colorado Springs, spent last season with Atlanta United 2 where he made 16 appearances and recorded a goal and an assist.
