Colorado Eagles Get Revenge on Idaho Steelheads, 4-2

WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles opened their home schedule with a 4-2 win over the Idaho Steelheads, Friday night at the Budweiser Events Center.

The Eagles were the first to get on the board with 9:38 left in the first frame. Forward Dylan Hood set defenseman Kevin Young up to make the shot from between the hashes and put Colorado up 1-0.

The Steelheads retaliated only 34 seconds into the second period with a goal by forward Taylor Vause tying the tally at 1-1. Eagles forward Kevin Ulanski fired a bomb from the top of the circle right past Idaho netminder Josh Robinson, 6:57 into the second. Ulanski was assisted by Eagles veteran forward Riley Nelson.

Less than two minutes into the final stanza, Colorado forward Jesse Mychan pumped the Eagles score 3-1. Idaho forward, James Isaacs, attempted a comeback with a goal to close the gap to 3-2. However, Mychan was able to put another Eagles goal on the board, 14:45 into the third, to finalize Colorado's win, 4-2.

Saturday October 26, is the final game of the two game series against the Idaho Steelheads and the Eagles will host their annual "Hockey Fights Cancer Night". Players will sport their special Pink Jerseys, which will be auctioned off throughout the season to raise money for the UC Health Cancer Center. After the game join Eagles players and staff at The Boot Grill for the official Post Game Show. This is your chance to get autographs from Eagles players and hear Coach Stewart's reaction to the game.
