
Colliton Agrees to Terms on One-Year Deal

UNIONDALE, NY, July 14, 2011 - The New York Islanders announced today that forward Jeremy Colliton has agreed to terms on a one year, two-way (NHL/AHL) contract.
Colliton, 25, scored two goals and one assist in 15 games last year with the Islanders during his sixth professional season. The Blackie, AB, native also posted 45 points (18 goals, 27 assists) in 53 American Hockey League games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers to become the club's all-time leading scorer with 176 points (66 goals, 110 assists) in 285 games.
The Islanders drafted Colliton in the second round, 58th overall, of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He's scored six points (three goals, three assists) in 57 career NHL games, all with the Islanders.
Colliton spent the 2009-10 season in the Swedish Elite League, playing for Rogle Angelholm, before returning to the Islanders organization in 2010-11. He signed a professional tryout contract with the Sound Tigers on Oct. 21 and agreed to a one-year, two-way deal with the Islanders on Nov. 30.
