
Collier Homers in Second Straight Game Despite Loss

Zach Collier is beginning to roll as he hit his fifth home run of the season for the Fightin Phils (47-67) lone run in a 7-1 loss to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (55-60). The home run for Collier was his third home run in two straight games.
The Fisher Cats scored first as Andy Fermin hit a sacrifice fly off Ryan O'Sullivan in the bottom of the 2nd inning to score KC Hobson to take a 1-0 lead. New Hampshire extended their lead to 7-0 off O'Sullivan in the bottom of the 3rd inning as they scored six runs. Corey Aldridge grounded into a fielder's choice to bring in Jon Berti for the first run of the inning. Andy Burns followed with a RBI double to score Derrick Chung then KC Hobson hit a two-run double to score Aldridge and Burns. Andy Fermin grounded into a fielder's choice to score Hobson then Jorge Flores hit a RBI single to score Jack Murphy.
Zach Collier hit his home run in the top of the 5th inning off Daniel Noris. Ryan O'Sullivan (5-7) pitched six innings to earn his seventh loss as he allowed seven runs off eight hits with two walks and two strikeouts. Colton Murray and Nefi Ogando pitched scoreless innings in relief.
The Fightin Phils are back home tomorrow night at FirstEnergy Stadium as they welcome in the Harrisburg Senators for a four-game series. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm. Adults will receive a Fightins Home Plate Shaped Door Mat thanks to PSECU.
