Cohen Blasts Two Home Runs In Blowout Win

(EVANSVILLE, Ind.)- Brandon Cohen had four hits in the game including two home runs as the Evansville Otters defeated the Traverse City Beach Bums 14-6.

The Otters first baseman doubled in two runs in the first inning, crushed a solo home run in the 6th and then added a three-run home run in the 7th inning.

Cohen's double gave Evansville a 2-0 lead in the first inning and Jake Rogers hit a 2-run home run to go ahead by four runs over the Beach Bums.

Rogers also had an impressive day at the plate going 2 for 4 with a home run and 4 RBIs in the win.

Evansville received six strong innings from Jason Roenicke in his first win of the season, and a solo home run from Vinny Scarduzio, who the team acquired in a trade with Windy City this weekend.

With the win, the Evansville Otters defeated the first place Traverse City Beach Bums for the third time in four games this season and improve to .500 for the first time this year.

Both teams will meet again tomorrow night at Bosse Field as the Beach Bums look to tie up the series while the Evansville Otters look to advance higher up in the Western Division standings.
