Coca-Cola Park To Host District XI Baseball Finals

Coca-Cola Park will play host to the PIAA District XI Baseball Finals - featuring eight schools from four classifications - beginning with the Class A Title Game between Pius X and Notre Dame E.S. on Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. Additional games are scheduled for Wednesday, June 2 at 4:30 p.m. and Thursday, June 3 at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Tickets are available at the gate and are $6 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens. Ticket prices and guidelines were established by District XI. Please note that only one ticket is needed per day. On-site parking at Coca-Cola Park is free for these championship contests.

2010 District XI Baseball Finals Schedule (Tournament Seedings Listed in Parenthesis) is listed below:

-Class A Championship (Wednesday, June 2 at 2 p.m.) - (1) Notre Dame E.S. vs. (2) Pius X

-Class AA Championship (Wednesday, June 2 at 4:30 p.m.) - (4) Pine Grove vs. (6) Catasauqua

-Class AAA Championship (Thursday, June 3 at 4:30 p.m.) - (2) Lehighton vs. (5) Saucon Valley

-Class AAAA Championship (Thursday, June 4 at 7 p.m.) - (1) Pleasant Valley vs. (3) Parkland

The winning team in each classification will advance to the PIAA State Tournament that begins Monday, June 7 and concludes with PIAA State Championship games on Friday, June 18 at Blair County Ballpark in Altoona.
