INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Indians are proud to partner with BackPack Attack to present "Bowling for BackPacks", an event held to raise money for school supplies for Indianapolis-area students, on Saturday, June 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Expo Bowl.

BackPack Attack is a city-wide school supply drive aimed at helping students begin each school year with the items necessary to succeed in the classroom. The organization has collected more than 2.8 million school supplies since its inception in 1999.

The event, which will be held at the Expo Bowl, gives fans opportunity to bowl with an Indians' player or Rowdie through the purchase of select bowling packages. The Expo Bowl is located at 5261 Elmwood Drive in Indianapolis.

"We are extremely excited for our ‘Bowling for BackPacks' fundraiser hosted by the Indianapolis Indians," said Maggie McGaughey, Chair of BackPack Attack. "With the Indians' help, 100% of the proceeds will support BackPack Attack and the children of Marion County. Every donation helps, and the bowling will make for a great Saturday."
