Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release
DUBUQUE, IA- The Dubuque Fighting Saints and CN - Canadian National Railway Company and its operating railway subsidiaries - announced today that the CN Community Ticket Program will return for the 2013-2014 season. This program provides the Fighting Saints an allotment of tickets for non-profit organizations in the Dubuque area that wish to attend a Fighting Saints game that otherwise might not be able to. New for this year, CN will extend the program to volunteers of these non-profits programs as well.
"In partnership with the CN Community Ticket Program, the Dubuque Fighting Saints can recognize and honor volunteers for their hard work and efforts in the Dubuque region by providing them free tickets to a game," Keith Creel, CN Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer. "CN recognizes the importance and positive outcome of voluntarism in the community."
The program will help enrich the lives of those lesser privileged, youth in need, those medically dependent, and those who put their time into helping volunteer for beneficial causes. Eligible non-profit organizations may request tickets to a Fighting Saints game by emailing cn@dubuquefightingsaints.com. Email messages should include the name and purpose of the organization, a phone number, and the date of the game the organization would like to attend. Tickets must be distributed to the population of the organization. The program is for non-profit organizations only, and school and church groups are not eligible to participate in the CN Community Ticket Program.
CN is a leader in the North American railway industry, spanning Canada and mid-America, from the Atlantic and Pacific oceans to the Gulf of Mexico. The company has 20,600 route-miles of track in North America, and employs approximately 22,000 workers. CN's footprint is strong in the state of Iowa, and it has a line running through Dubuque. CN also offers rail, trucking, warehousing, and distribution services.
