Each Monday during hockey season, Waterloo Black Hawks coaches and staff choose the team's Players of the Week. Please find this week's selections below.
FishSticks Millwork Offensive Player of the Week - Liam Pecararo
With a pair of early second period goals Saturday, Pecararo helped the Hawks spring ahead on the way to a 3-2 win in Chicago. He scored eight goals in 36 games last season.
Denver Construction Defensive Player of the Week - Brandon Montour
The rookie defenseman set up two scores by the Hawks Saturday. Montour helped give Waterloo the lead, then assisted on the game-winning goal.
UAW Local 838 Hardest Worker - Brandon Salerno
For the third time in his USHL career, Salerno notched a game-winning goal. The Maine recruit recorded six total goals last season.
Convenient Care Heart of the Week - Tim Lappin
The Chicagoland native returned home to help deliver a road victory. Lappin contributed to three successful penalty kills by the Hawks and put five shots on net during the game.
