WORCESTER, MA- The Tornadoes feel to the North Shore Spirit 7-6 in a game that went back and forth all Friday evening.
The Tornadoes led off the game again tonight putting runs on the board when two runs came around to score off of a single by Chris Colabello and a hit by Keith Beauregard.
The Spirit added two in the second and three in the third as late addition Designated hitter Alex Trezza belted a pair of two run homers in back to back innings and at-bats.
They added three more in the fifth off a 2RBI triple by Austin Wasserman. Colabello hit a sacrifice fly to score Wasserman. The Tornadoes went up 6-5 in the sixth when leadoff batter Bob Tewksbary laced a double ball down the right field line. He would later go on to score on a single by Elliot Shea.
But the Tornadoes wouldn't lead for long as Antoin Gray hit the Spirits third long ball of the night as he put them up 7-6. They avoided any further damaged in the ninth as Tewksbary turned an inning ending double play.
Starter D.J. Mattox received a no-decision as he went six innings giving up seven hits and five runs (all earned). The loss went to Mike Meagher who came on in relief. Spirit Matt Bishop picked up the win and Fitzgerald recorded the save.

SATURDAYS GAME NOW A 1:05 PM START
The Worcester Tornadoes, after consulation with the National Weather Bureau and the Can Am League office, and in anticipation of a poor weather forecast with the impending remnants of Hurricane Ernesto moving towards Massachusetts, have moved Saturday's game vs. the North Shore Spirit from 7:05 PM to 1:05 PM in order to give our fans the chance to see the Tornadoes this weekend!
