Ontario Clippers News Release
ONTARIO, Calif. - The Agua Caliente Clippers (9-11) drop their second straight game, falling to the Salt Lake City Stars (15-4), 119-99, on Tuesday night.
After scoring the opening bucket of the game, the Clippers fell victim to a quick 19-4 run by Salt Lake City. The rest of the game would feature much of the same as Agua Caliente had trouble hanging with the hot shooting Stars, who shot 57% from the field and 57.6% from three-point range (19-for-33). The Clippers, on the other hand, struggled as a team, shooting 43.4% from the field and hitting only 10 of their 33 attempts from distance.
Johnathan Motley paced the Clippers with a game-high 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field.
The Stars were led by Trevon Bluiett's 18 points off the bench on six-of-nine shooting from the three-point range.
The Clippers look to return to the win column as they finish off their short two-game homestand on Thursday against the Iowa Wolves. The game is slate to tip off at 7 p.m. PST inside the Toyota Arena in Ontario, Calif.
