February 7, 2020 - NBA G League (G League)
Ontario Clippers News Release
FRISCO, TX - The Agua Caliente Clippers (16-17) drop their third straight and fall below .500 after losing to the Texas Legends (18-15), 123-107, on Thursday night.
Playing with only eight active players, Agua Caliente kept things interesting late in the game, trailing by only 4 with 6:21 remaining in the fourth quarter. However, they would soon run out of gas and concede a 13-2 run over the next two and a half minutes as the Legends cruised their way to the finish line.
Six Clippers scored in double-figures, led by Xavier Rathan-Mayes' 23 points. He added five rebounds and five assists, following up his triple-double on Tuesday afternoon with another all-around performance. Donte Grantham contributed with a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds.
Texas was led by Jaylen Hoard's game-high 27 points on 11-of-18 shooting form the field and 16 rebounds.
The Clippers look to get back to winning ways on Saturday as they cap off their five-game roadtrip against the Northern Arizona Suns. The game is slated to tip-off at 4 p.m. PST inside the Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Arizona.
