Ontario Clippers News Release

LAS VEGAS - The Ontario Clippers (13-4), the NBA G League affiliate of the LA Clippers, continue their strong showcase run, taking the Iowa Wolves (11-6), 121-95, to move on to the G League Winter Showcase semifinals.

Ontario were led by LA Clippers assignee Brandon Boston Jr. and Nate Darling, who recorded 33 points apiece in the victory. Boston did so on 15-for-23 shooting from the field while Darling knocked down 8 of his 12 three-point attempts off the bench.

The Wolves were led by Javonte Cooke's 20 points. PJ Dozier (19 points, 13 rebounds) and D.J. Carlton (12 points, 13 assists) each recorded double-doubles in the loss.

Iowa came out of the gates attacking, taking a quick 20-7 advantage midway through the opening frame. The Clippers quickly regained their footing and fought back to take a one point lead in the final seconds of the quarter. Ontario would not concede the advantage from that point on and watched their lead balloon to as much as 29 in the victory.

The Clippers were efficient from the field, knocking down 50 percent of their shots (49-for-98) and 47.4 percent from distance (18-for-38). They also bested Iowa on the boards, 57-47, in the assists column, 32-18, and scoring in the paint, 54-38.

Next up, the Clippers move on the Winter Showcase semifinals where they take on the Maine Celtics tomorrow night, December 20th. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 pm PST inside the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
