Ontario Clippers News Release
LAS VEGAS, NV - The Agua Caliente Clippers (9-5) fend off the Long Island Nets (4-9) by a score of 102-95 on Wednesday evening, leaving Las Vegas undefeated.
Three Clippers scored at least 20 points tonight, led by Nate Darling's 28 points, including four three-pointers. Xavier Moon added nine rebounds and seven assists to go along with his 27 points. Keaton Wallace rounds out the group with 22 points off the bench.
Shevon Thompson added a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds.
Bryce Brown led all scorers with 36 points on an efficient 14-for-19 from the field and eight-for-13 from distance for Long Island.
After trailing for almost the entire third quarter, the Clippers scraped their way back to regain a 74-73 advantage after a Nets turnover led to a floater from Keaton Wallace. Agua Caliente would hang on the rest of the way, leading by as much as 12 as they pulled out the victory.
Next for Agua Caliente is a trip to Salt Lake City for a pair of games against the Stars. Tip-off is at 6 p.m. PT at the Lifetime Activities Center - Bruin Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.
