
Force Drops 112-99 Contest to Austin

Las Vegas, NV - The Sioux Falls Skyforce dropped a 112-99 decision to the Austin Spurs on Wednesday evening in the last game of the 2021 NBA G League Winter Showcase from the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
DJ Stewart posted a career-high 30 points on 9-21 FGA, seven rebounds and four assists in the loss for Sioux Falls (2-10). It marked the second-straight game where he posted a career high in scoring.
Micah Potter (15 points and 16 rebounds) posted back-to-back games of 15-plus points and rebounds. Martin Krampelj and Pedro Bradshaw each had 14 points, as well.
San Antonio Spurs two-way player Devontae Cacok posted 22 points on 10-17 FGA and added 16 rebounds. Spurs assignee Joshua Primo had 11 points and five rebounds, while two-way player Joe Wieskamp added 10 points in the victory for Austin (9-5). The victory is now the sixth-straight victory for the Spurs.
The contest marked the end of the Showcase Cup, where all teams' records will now reset.
The Skyforce open the 2021-22 regular season with three games against the Santa Cruz Warriors. The first will be on the road on December 29, where tip-off is slated for 9:00 PM CST.
