Clippers Fall To Santa Cruz

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Ontario Clippers (9-8), the NBA G League affiliate of the LA Clippers, fall to the Santa Cruz Warriors (6-8), 114-123, on Friday night for their third consecutive defeat.

Greg Brown III, on assignment from the Portland Trailblazers, led the Clippers with 22 points on 6-14 FGM (4-8 3PM) off the bench. Xavier Moon added 20 points (8-15 FGM), six rebounds, and six assists. Keaton Wallace (14 points, 10 assists) and Emmitt Williams (11 points, 10 rebounds) each recorded double-doubles in the loss.

The Warriors were led by Lester Quinones who recorded 26 points on 9-15 FGM (6-9 3PM). Dusty Hannahs and Jordan Schakel each recorded 20 points. Jayce Johnson pulled down 20 rebounds on the night.

Santa Cruz led for most of the night, with their lead growing to as much as 20 in the win. They outshot the Clippers from the field, 49.4 percent to 40.6 percent, and the three-point line, 50 percent to 37.5 percent.

Next up, the Clippers return to Toyota Arena to host the cross-town rival South Bay Lakers in a two-game set beginning Sunday. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 pm PST.
