Raptors 905 (8-5), the NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors swept the season series against the Cleveland Charge (9-4) Saturday afternoon. The 905 were led by Reggie Perry who put up 19 points, seven rebounds, five assists, two blocks, and a career-high five steals in the victory. Isaiah Mobley led the charge for Cleveland contributing a near triple-double with 22 points, 14 rebounds, and seven assists.
The two teams opened the ball game exchanging baskets back-and-forth; however, Cleveland took their two-point advantage after 12. The visitors continued to push the pace extending their lead to as many as 21 points in the second, before ending the half 70-55.
Down 15, the 905 came out of the break strong, outscoring the Charge by nine, and bringing the game within six as they entered the final frame. The two teams stayed neck-and-neck throughout the final frame, but a three from Sterling Brown put the 905 up one with 1:24 remaining. A late three at the hands of Jeff Dowtin Jr. sealed the game for the 905.
Brown paced the 905 adding 18 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists. Cleveland received complementary scoring from Jamorko Pickett who contributed 30 points, eight rebounds, and four assists in the loss.
The 905 continue their homestand Monday against the Maine Celtics, tip-off scheduled for 7:30. The Charge return to Cleveland, hosting the Delaware Blue Coats. Tip-off slated for 6:00 pm.
