MISSISSAUGA, ON - The Cleveland Charge (9-4) fell to the Raptors 905 (8-5), 124-118, at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre on Saturday afternoon and surrendered a two-game set to their hosts north of the border.
The Charge's Jordan Allen was red-hot in the first half, scoring 24 points on 9-of-11 shooting and 6-of-7 from three-point range in 19 minutes off the bench to already exceed his season-best total for a single game. Cleveland also got 16 first half points from Isaiah Mobley and led by as many as 21, ultimately taking a 70-55 lead into intermission.
Jamorko Pickett took over in the third quarter for the Charge, scoring 14 points on 6-of-8 shots. Raptors 905 outscored the visitors 33-24 in the period to shrink the deficit to 94-88. The hosts hit 61% of their shots in the fourth quarter, eventually using a 15-4 run to close the game and get the win.
Pickett finished with 30 points on 10-of-18 from the floor, eight rebounds and two blocks in 44 minutes. Allen ended the game with 26 points on 10-of-15 from the floor in 29 minutes off the bench. Sharife Cooper scored 21 points with six assists and five steals in 41 minutes. Mobley finished with 22 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and three blocks in 38 minutes. Rashad Vaughn added 12 points, three steals and two blocks in 41 minutes. Seven 905 players scored in double figures, led by Reggie Perry's 19 points, seven boards and five steals in 34 minutes. Sterling Brown scored 18 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished six assists in 30 minutes.
