Clippers Extinguish Ignite Behind Moon's Double-Double

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Clippers (8-9) defeat the G League Ignite (1-18), 110-103 on Wednesday night for their fourth straight win.

Ignite opened the game with a 7-point lead, but by halftime the Clippers grabbed a 5-point lead. The Clippers opened the second half on a 5-0 run but Ignite was able to outscore the Clippers by 2 points in the third quarter. After Ignite tied the game early in the fourth quarter, the Clippers ran out a 14-6 run to take an 8-point lead in the fourth quarter. Ignite responded by cutting the Clippers lead to 4 points with less than a minute last but a clutch 3-point bucket by Xavier Moon sealed a Clippers victory.

The Clippers were paced by Xavier Moon, who recorded 27 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the field, including 4-of-8 from distance, and 10 assists for the huge double-double. Jordan Miller added 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field. Moussa Diabate flirted with a double-double, recording 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists in his return from injury.

Ignite was led by John Jenkins 30 points on 5-8 shooting from the 3-point range and 7 assists. Matas Buzelis (11 points and 10 rebounds) and Izan Almansa (13 points and 11 rebounds) both recorded double-doubles. Tyler Smith scored 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
