Indianapolis Indians News Release

Columbus, Ohio -- Michael Martinez walked off his former team with a two-out single in the bottom of the 11th inning, sending the Columbus Clippers (58-45) to a 4-3 victory over the Indianapolis Indians (58-45) Monday night. The Clippers win moves Columbus into a tie for first place with the Tribe in the International League's West division.

The Indians scored twice in the top half of the first, but the Clippers scored a run in the second, third and fourth frames to pull ahead, 3-2. Tony Sanchez, who finished the game with a pair of hits and two RBIs, then retied the game when he legged out an infield single in the fifth inning.

The Clippers ultimately prevailed when Martinez singled after three consecutive walks loaded the bases in the 11th frame.
