Today's Game
Tonight, the Bisons take on the Syracuse Chiefs in the first game of a four-game series at NBT Bank Stadium (7:05 p.m.). The Herd has won five straight and eight nine dating back to July 18. Buffalo is coming off a three-game sweep in Pawtucket over the Red Sox. Buffalo trails Scranton/Wilkes-Barre by 2.5 games in the IL North division.
vs. the Chiefs
The Bisons are 7-2 against the Chiefs this year. Buffalo has won the first three series against Syracuse, including winning two of three played at NBT Bank Stadium, June 19-21. At 11-7, the Bisons lead the Red Wings (11-8) by a half-game in the 2015 Thruway Cup Series.
Daniel Norris
LHP DANIEL NORRIS will make his 16th start of the season for the Herd. The southpaw earned his third win of the year last Wednesday, defeating the Chiefs in Buffalo with 5.2 innings of two-run baseball. Norris' road ERA (3.10) is a run and a half better than his mark at Coca-Cola Field (4.61) this season.

INF MATT HAGUE has three straight multi-hit performances and now 43 such games this season. With five RBI yesterday in Pawtucket, Hague took over the league's RBI lead with 70, four more than Columbus' Jesus Aguilar. The Bisons are 30-10 in games Hague has driven in at least one run. Hague continues to lead the league in average (.354), hits (134) and on-base pct. (.436).
Dalton Pompey
OF DALTON POMPEY'S 11-game hit streak is tied for the 2nd-longest active streak in the IL. In a streak that began on June 5 and continued with Pompey's return to the Herd, the outfielder has averaged .432 (19-44) with six extra-base hits, six RBI, nine walks and 12 runs scored.
Chad Jenkins
RHP CHAD JENKINS earned his three career professional save on Sunday. The veteran has allowed just one earned run (two total runs) in 36.0 innings since May 25. During the 21-game stretch, Jenkins has allowed 34 hits and only seven walks to 25 strikeouts.
Bisons Bits
INF MATT HAGUE has reached base in 39 consecutive road games, dating back to May 5 in Durham (.363 avg ., 451 ob%.)...On Sunday, the Bisons increased their IL-best record when scoring first to 39-6.
Blue Jays Update
The Blue Jays (50-50) lost in 10 innings to the Mariners on Sunday, 6-5. Josh Donaldson homered for the Blue Jays and former Bison Ezequiel Carrera had two hits and two RBI. Toronto is off today and will start a two-game series against the Phillies back at Rogers Centre on Tuesday.
